Field Notes: Northern Cardinal research with Brooke Goodman

Field Notes Live provides an opportunity to take an inside look at research in progress at Rice Creek Field Station.

For this pre-recorded episode, we sat down with SUNY Oswego student researcher Brooke Goodman to discuss her work with the Baldassarre Lab on Northern Cardinals. Brooke is studying the effects of noise pollution on male Cardinal singing, using Rice Creek Field Station and a Syracuse park as study sites.

Join us for the Facebook premiere to hear about Cardinals, their songs, and how to undertake acoustic research with birds! Brooke will be available live to answer questions over Facebook chat. You can find our premiere under Live Videos on our page: Facebook will remind you 20 minutes before the premiere if you say you are interested. A Facebook account is not necessary to watch, only to ask questions or comment.

Note: This program is intended for a high school through adult audience. Children under 17 must be under the supervision of an adult when participating in the program.
