CANCELED: Birds Up Close: Public Bird Banding at Rice Creek

Have you ever seen a wild bird up close?

SUNY Oswego Biology Professor Daniel Baldassarre is offering free public bird banding demonstrations at Rice Creek Field Station. Dr. Baldassarre will be catching wild birds using mist nets and then banding his particular study species before release. Join us to learn more about our local birds, Professor Baldassarre's work, how banding helps avian researchers, and to experience wildlife up close!

Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress for the weather: banding is an outdoor activity.
