CEO and Founder of Greek University Dr. Mike Ayalon will facilitate a workshop geared towards students on how to eradicate hazing practices within fraternity and sorority life by fostering a culture of respect, safety and genuine camaraderie. Participants will delve into the historical roots of hazing to understand its origins and persisting factors. They will explore the deep-seated reasons behind hazing and its extensive ramifications, including legal, psychological, and communal impacts.

A significant focus will be on identifying hazing activities and cultivating proactive bystander intervention strategies. Students will learn to recognize the early signs of hazing and effectively intervene to prevent harmful scenarios from unfolding. Moreover, the workshop encourages the creation of meaningful and engaging alternatives to hazing that promote unity, skill-building and healthy interactions among members, thereby achieving the cherished goals of brotherhood and sisterhood without the cost of individual well-being and group integrity.
