The Civic Engagement Coalition at SUNY Oswego will host a panel-based discussion via Zoom, geared towards understanding the Constitution and discussing how to use the rights given to us to support proactive activism.

Topics that will be discussed during this panel include knowing the difference between hate speech and free speech and how this is protected under the Constitution, knowing the difference between being detained and arrested during a protest, and effective ways to be an activist and knowing their rights as well. The first 30 minutes will be allotted to the panel discussion and the concluding 30 minutes will be for the audience to interact with the panelists and ask their own questions.
