Become an Oz Peer Health Educator for Fall 2021!

So what is an Oz Peer Ed?
We are a group of student leaders who are committed to the health and wellbeing of our peers at SUNY Oswego!

What you should know:
-There is an application and interview process.
-You don’t need prior training or experience in Health Promotion or Education, but are required to have a GPA of 2.5.
-This is an academic class (GST 350) that requires participation through class related activities (about 8-9 hours).
-Please make a two-semester commitment when possible.

What we do as Peer Eds:
-Yappy Hour
-Open Mic Night
-Programming
-Social Media
-Two Minute Tuesdays
-What I Ate Wednesdays
-Step Up! Bystander Intervention
-Destress For Success
-Simple Self-Care
-Stress Free Zone

By becoming an Oz Peer Ed you will:
-Develop connections
-Gain leadership and communication skills
-Learn how to plan programs
-Earn class credit, and more!
