About this Event
Exploring Nature, Rice Creek's summer program for kids, is moving online this year. Naturalists Paul and Kristen will be your guides as we learn about the natural world all around us—from plants to pollinators, from bugs to birds, from mud to mammals.
Each Tuesday at 2 pm this summer, Rice Creek will use Facebook Live to join you from Rice Creek for a fun ~30-minute program. Note: a Facebook account is not needed to watch the program, only to comment, which is purely optional.
Kids who tune in for at least 5 programs and submit the associated "challenges" to rcfs@oswego.edu will receive a mailed Exploring Nature 2020 completion certificate at the end of summer.
Have your notebook ready, and a smartphone or computer so you can ask questions, submit photos, and interact with us. If you have a magnifying glass or an insect net, those will come in handy too!
This program is designed for children 7-12, although older and younger kids are always welcome! Participation is completely free and open to all.
