Rice Creek Field Station, Campus Recreation and Fitness, and the Counseling Services Center are teaming up to offer students an afternoon of recreation and relaxation in nature, including fresh, seasonal food and drinks. Those who attend are eligible to win prizes!

Activities:

• Kayaking/canoeing on Rice Pond
• Tie-dye station: bring your own clothing and give it a new lease on life!
• 1:30 p.m. Butterfly Meditation led by the CSC's Cory Brosch
• Fresh salsa making with produce from the PLL, SUNY Oswego's on-campus organic garden
• Fresh apple cider pressing
• Lemonade bar, including the option to add fresh herbs
• Birdwatching station
• Self-guided hiking/walking on Rice Creek's trails
• Relax in a hammock
• Lawn games

Getting to Rice Creek

Students can access Rice Creek Field Station via an 11-minute ride on the Green Shuttle, which leaves the Marano Campus Center bus loop on the half-hour (1, 1:30, 2, 2:30, etc.). See how easy it is with our video! Alternatively, students can walk, bike, or drive to Rice Creek, which is located about 1.5 miles south of campus at 193 Thompson Road.
