"The Golden Cage" is the true, powerful story of Oswego’s Holocaust refugees during World War II, as told by Charles Abeles and Miriam Sommeburg. During this time, the city of Oswego hosted a one-of-a-kind haven for nearly 1,000 refugees, most of them Jewish, coming from Europe.
