Interfaith Dialogue within the Fabric of Turkish Culture - Timur Saka

Turkey is called "Crossroads of Civilizations" and is a country with diverse beliefs. Its religious diversity, however, is neither acknowledged nor appreciated, organizers said. Istanbul is still the center of Orthodox Christianity and there are currently 26 active synagogues in Istanbul. Muslims, Christians and Jews lived together in Turkey for centuries. In this session, organizers explore the historical events that formed the religious diversity in Turkey and reflect on the current developments
