How can international students effectively market their unique skills to potential employers? What resources should international students utilize when they are searching for internship and job opportunities? How do you speak with an employer about your student visa status? Join these sessions to learn how international students can best position themselves to stand out and succeed in a competitive global workforce:
Thursday, April 29 at 7 PM | Marketing yourself as an international student: SUNY Oswego's Office of Career Services will review tips to build your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile to highlight your unique skills as an international student.
Thursday, May 6 at 7 PM | Internship/job search strategies for international students: Career Services, along with the International Student & Scholar Services Office, will discuss useful job/internship search resources for F-1 visa holders, strategies to communicate with employers about your student visa status, and how to tailor your job search to find companies who welcome international employees.
All are welcome to join these sessions, though the topics are specifically relevant for F-1 visa holders. These workshops are organized in part by SUNY Oswego's International Student Association.
