About this Event
As the month of June progresses, SUNY Oswego would like to acknowledge the celebration of Juneteenth, a national holiday observed on June 20, 2022. Juneteenth recognizes June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved people in the Confederacy were notified of their freedom following the Civil War.
The James A. Triandiflou '88 Institute for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Transformative Practice invites you to celebrate this important day by learning more about what Juneteenth represents with the resources included here. Check out our social media @ozinstitute in the coming days to learn more. Also, be sure to check out what is happening around New York State in commemoration of the Juneteenth holiday!
