DESCRIPTION:SUNY Oswego's Living Writers Series is honored to present a rea
 ding\, conversation and book signing with Daniel Handler\, AKA Lemony Snic
 ket. \n\n \n\n(Books will be on sale at the event\, thanks to the program'
 s friends at The River's End Bookstore.)\n\n \n\nDaniel Handler’s wildly
  popular books include A Series of Unfortunate Events\, The Basic Eight\, 
 Why We Broke Up\, We Are Pirates\, and others. Handler has received commis
 sions from the San Francisco Symphony\, Berkeley Repertory Theater and Roy
 al Shakespeare Company\, and collaborated with artist Maira Kalman on a se
 ries of books for the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His books have sol
 d more than 70 million copies worldwide\, and been adapted for film\, stag
 e and television. He’s earned the Peabody and Writers Guild of America a
 wards. Handler has also collaborated with illustrator Lisa Brown on severa
 l books and one son.\n\n \n\nThe Department of English and Creative Writin
 g has brought hundreds of writers into the campus community\, from Nobel\,
  Pulitzer and Emmy winners to new voices. The Living Writers Series is sup
 ported by the Department of English and Creative Writing and ARTSwego\, an
