The Department of English and Creative Writing has brought hundreds of writers into the community, from Nobel, Pulitzer and Emmy winners to new voices. Organizers believe words matter. Waves of change can start small, with a word. All events are open to campus and community.

TV writer and comedian Kimberly Clark’s credits include Netflix’s Tiffany Haddish Presents, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, TBS’s Lopez Tonight and CBS's The Late Late Show with James Corden. One of Time Out Los Angeles’s Comics to Watch, Clark is originally from Syracuse. She is known for leveraging dry humor to train a precision lens on pop culture, politics, personal experience, and the absurdity of everyday life.
