 s to new voices. Organizers believe words matter. Waves of change can star
 t small\, with a word. All events are open to campus and community.\n\n \n
 \nBeloved SUNY Oswego creative writing professor Robert O’Connor earned 
 his undergraduate degree at SUNY Oswego before receiving a graduate degree
  from Syracuse University. O’Connor authored the novel "Buffalo Soldiers
 "—which was adapted into a film starring Joaquin Phoenix\, Anna Paquin\,
  Ed Harris and Scott Glenn—and other works\, and has earned recognition 
 from Granta and many other literary entities. Novelist James Carroll prais
 ed O'Connor in a positive review in The New York Times\, while The Indepen
 dent has called his writing "powerful."\n\n \n\nThe Living Writers Series
