Professor David Cossio-Ruiz leads this math department seminar, where we will solve one or two problems from the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) to discuss some of the solutions and talk a little about what is the level of mathematics expected from the contestants in this competition, which is arguably the most important mathematics contest in the world. If time permits, we will also discuss how these problems are graded to determine the medals awarded to the participants.
Math department seminars are open to all members of the SUNY Oswego community. Campus visitors will need to get a parking pass for $1; visit the Parking Office for more information. Contact professor Elizabeth Wilcox (email@example.com) with questions or to request accommodations.
