Are you passionate about music and looking for a community to share that love? Octavia, SUNY Oswego’s premier treble a cappella group, is holding auditions.

Octavia is more than just a performance group, organizers said: They are a close-knit family. Octavia performs at events across campus, engages in community outreach, and brings beautiful harmonies to venues in town. Their mission is to offer unique musical experiences to audiences, inspire collaboration among peers, and foster an environment where every member’s appreciation and understanding of music flourishes.

Through challenging compositions, barbershop techniques, performance skill-building, and an appreciation of a cappella history, Octavia aims to nurture its members' musical growth while maintaining a legacy of excellence. Every semester, new members join a tradition of sharing extraordinary music and camaraderie that spans generations of Octavia singers.

Requirements:
Sing the first verse and chorus of "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5.
Be prepared to sight-read and match pitch.
