Oswego Empty Bowls is a fundraiser supporting Human Concerns, Inc., a non-profit food pantry in Oswego, and SHOP, the student pantry on campus. Students from the Oswego Clay Club, along with ceramics instructors, community members, and the Department of Art and Design, will create hundreds of handmade clay bowls. On October 25 and 26, we'll focus on throwing and trimming the bowls, followed by glazing on November 8 in Tyler 128. The finished bowls will be sold at Tyler lobby on November 15 to raise funds.
Whether you’re a community member, student, staff, or faculty and know how to throw a bowl on the pottery wheel, join in! Come to the ceramics studio (Tyler 128) on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, any time between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Every bit of help counts!
