#ozsciencetodayAll are welcome to see an alternative side to Hans Christian Andersen, an author well-known for beloved fairy tales. Prof. Toke Knudsen (SUNY Oneonta) will share Andersen's poem Formens evige Magie ("The Eternal Magic of Form"), which presents the Pythagorean theorem with a proof.
If you did not know that a poem could coincide with a proof, well, then it's time to see such a creation in person -- and think about why someone might want to write a proof within a poem.
Campus visitors will need to get a parking pass for $1, visit the Parking Office for more information. Contact Elizabeth Wilcox with questions.
