With the support of ARTSwego and Hart Hall, the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is hosting Eliecer Jiménez, one of the most prominent Cuban filmmakers in the diaspora. This event will screen his latest documentary, "Veritas," followed by a Q&A session with him. This documentary has received multiple awards and was recently featured on PBS. It explores the U.S. invasion of the Bay of Pigs (Cuba) during the Cold War, using extensive archival research and interviews.
