Snowshoeing is a wonderful way to enjoy a nature walk in winter and get some outdoor exercise and fresh air. Students of all snowshoe experience levels are invited to stop by Rice Creek Field Station and sign out a pair of snowshoes. Rice Creek staff can provide snowshoeing tips, trail maps, and trail recommendations for participants. 

If snow cover is insufficient to snowshoe, participants are encouraged to hike instead. Please dress warmly and wear boots or other sturdy, water-resistant shoes. 

This program is self-guided and participants are welcome to stay as short or long as they please, from 11 am to 4 pm.  Participants can catch the Green Shuttle from Marano Campus Center to attend this program.

The first 30 students to register for Rice Creek's Wellness Day programs will receive a free snack pack, which includes a travel mug, a hot chocolate pouch, and snacks. You can make your own hot chocolate right at Rice Creek!
