Year of First Nations: Fulfilling Roles and Responsibilities - Caring for Creation in Akwesasne

Abraham Francis of the Deer Clan from Akwesasne is the Program Manager for the Environment Program of The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Department of Infrastructure and Housing. He graduated with a BS in Microbiology and MS in Natural Resources from Cornell University and was the previous Environmental Science Officer in the Environment Program. Abraham's work has new insights for the program that includes the development of environmental partnerships and innovative methodologies to continue to develop research projects that address and promote community concerns through conservation and environmental means.
