Over the course of the two-day summit, participants will explore critical issues related to campus climate, examine national and local trends in diversity, equity and inclusion, and be introduced to the university's new Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

The summit will feature a keynote address by Dr. Michael Benitez, a nationally recognized educator, scholar and strategist whose work offers critical insight into leadership, organizational culture and institutional change in higher education. Additional highlights include a dinner and dialogue session facilitated by the El-Hindi Center for Dialogue and Action at InterFaith Works and the James A. Triandiflou Institute for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Transformative Practice, as well as a professional development workshop led by Dr. Jamie Washington, president and co-founder of the Social Justice Training Institute and past president of the American College Personnel Association.

The Equity Summit offers every member of the university community an opportunity to engage with the institution's shared commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and to consider how their individual roles and offices contribute to these efforts. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of their collective responsibility for fostering an inclusive campus culture and practical strategies for translating the university's DEI values into meaningful action.
